What happened on Valley Rd last night? Lots of cops in the area coming home from the train around 1030.

Why do the numbers go 1 to 9 and then start again with 1 to 9 instead of being continuous? Is this a duplicate?

Are they really going to talk about affairs of the town ? ?

The first 1-9 is for the conference room pre board mtg. The 2nd 1-9 is for the televised board meeting at 8.

Sorry, confused. What and why is a conference room pre board mtg? A rehearsal so the TV board meeting looks right?

Anonymous said...

In a nutshell, yes.

That's nuts!

Sham too.

Thanks.

12:35,
I heard there was a house robbery with residents home.

A home invasion type of situation 2:19? Yikes. Brazen.

What were all the police lights in the parking deck yesterday morning?

Under Fire Business, does anyone know the meaning of "waver of residency letter to NYS"? Just curious.

Anonymous said...

Authorization of letter. Sorry.

Anonymous said...

Just for the record "Waiver of Residency" usually means someone wants to be employed, get benefits, or be allowed to make certain legal moves, etc, without meeting the State or local residency requirements for that action.

Anonymous said...

They need a certain percentage of members to live in the town and they want a waiver so more out of towners can join.

Anonymous said...

In this case it means 'out of the fire district'.

In respect to the volunteer firefighter waver. Are there not already volunteers from the surrounding communities already serving in the TMFD? How much further can one expect to draw volunteers? Wouldn't a further distance of responding volunteers negate there immediate need? Sounds like a desperate attempt to boost the "attendance " numbers to keep the status quo. Not to mention the cost and liability to cover/equip non TOM taxpayers.

What are the costs of doing this and at what benefit to the Town?
