Lynda, why do you think this belongs on your blog? This is not news, this is trying to make news out of a family squabble, you shouldn't be pandering to this kind of crap.

Nancy (8:12) - - just pay attention to your court orders and stop posting here...

This is the NY Post and does not explain anything. Such as the orig OOP reasons, history, etx. The article is worthless "police nlotter" type crap

since when is this blog only about 'news?'

It is about information - and this is information. And it can be considered news.

If a family squabble makes public record - oh well. Don't hate on the public - look within to see why you made it public in the first place.

News is News. Gossip is Gossip.

This is not thought provoking or controversial. So what is the point other than to spread bad/incomplete information from a rag like the Post.

The only controversy here is about the posting, seems like a waste of band width.

8:12, and I assume also 10:40, let me make something clear to you. This is MY blog. If you don't like my posts, than don't come back. I linked to a local news story and this is not the first time the news story has appeared in the media. It's not my fault that a local family business is making news. If they wanted privacy, they should have conducted their business in a way that was not newsworthy.

Well put Lynda

8:12 / 10:40,

On your way out, don't let the door hit you on your arse...

Linda, it's a blog, you set it up to allow people to express their opinions. I'm a little surprised you take that kind of attitude since you have set this up to allow people to express their opinions.

Did I hit a nerve? Why the defensiveness? Are you only interested in people posting on "Your Blog" that agree with you?

Take a deep breath and think about it!

tomato, tohmatto...

this is news. you may not like it, but it is news. It isn't complete - do you think what you read on CNN is complete?

We'll call it an abstract (so it's subject to change/update)

hey 10:07 and previous times:

You called Lynda out by calling her post 'pandering...'

'controversy about the posting... is a waste of bandwidth'

And then have the nerve to say she's defensive? No she's not.

She does let 'us' express our opinions - if not she could have deleted your comments.

YOU have the problem because no one agrees with your definitions of news. Including the blog owner. But you're still free to post your drivel.

You're defensive. Your nerves have been hit.

Feel free to inform us if what is written is not correct.

Thank you 12:11...you expressed my view.

I take offense to the word "pandering." Pandering to whom? I saw the story in the New York Post and decided to link to it since it was local news just like any other local news story that I would link.

I don't create the news. I just link to it. If you don't like the "news" take it up with the source, not me.

Linda you choose what you post. I expressed an opinion, perhaps you are simply not interested in others opinions. Do with it what you choose take it in or throw it out, your choice. But if you are going to operate a blog, you should not try to censor opinions, you should moderate for abuse. Otherwise you are a hypocrite for wanting to promote the right to free speech but at the same time wanting to shut down non-conforming views.

LyndaLarch10538 said...

I never shut you down. Your comments remain. My point is that if you don't think something is newsworthy, than take it up with the source, not me. By the way, this same story is plastered all over the local media outlets. Obviously it is being considered newsworthy.

Lynda did exactly as you say - she allows you to comment and only deletes if abuse is found.

She isn't a hypocrite - but yet you STILL call her out, and now CALL HER NAMES.

Grow up.

And, you're welcome Lynda - 12:11
